Public Transportation

L.A. LIVE is located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd. in downtown Los Angeles, across from STAPLES Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center.

There are many alternative forms of transportation to L.A. LIVE, including Metro Rail and Metro buses which frequently stop near L.A. LIVE.

METRO RAIL
If you're coming to L.A. LIVE by rail, Pico Station is only a 2 minute walk and the 7th Street Metro Station is only a 7 minute walk. To find the route that's best for you, use the Metro Trip Planner or contact Metro at (800) COMMUTE.

MODIFIED SERVICE ON SELECT WEEKNIGHTS AND WEEKENDS

Effective February 1, 2010 due to construction for the future Expo Line, the Blue Line will be operating on a modified schedule over the next several months on select weeknights and weekends. Metro Trip Planner and Google Transit may not reflect these changes, so please check the exact times posted at metro.net. Riders using the Red or Purple Lines are just a 7 minute walk to STAPLES Center/Nokia Theatre/L.A. LIVE when exiting at 7th Street/Metro Center.

From South Bay/Los Angeles International Airport

  1. Take the Green Line towards Norwalk
  2. Change at Imperial/Wilmington to Blue Line towards 7th Street Metro Center
  3. Exit Pico Station
  4. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  5. Go right on Figueroa, L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks North on your left

From North Hollywood/Hollywood

  1. Take the Red Line towards7th Street Metro Station
  2. Change at 7th Street Metro Station to Blue Line towards Long Beach
  3. Exit Pico Station
  4. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  5. Go North/right on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

OR

  1. Take the Red Line towards 7th Street Metro Station
  2. Exit 7th Street Metro Station
  3. Walk West to Figueroa St.
  4. Go South/left on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 4 blocks on the right

From Pasadena

  1. Take Gold Line towards Union Station
  2. Change at Union Station to Red Line towards North Hollywood
  3. Change at 7th Street Metro Station to Blue Line towards Long Beach
  4. Exit Pico Station
  5. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  6. Go North/right on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

OR

  1. Take Gold Line towards Union Station
  2. Change at Union Station to Red Line towards North Hollywood
  3. Exit 7th Street Metro Station
  4. Walk West to Figueroa St.
  5. Go South/left on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 4 blocks on the right

From Mid-Wilshire

  1. Take Purple Line towards Union Station
  2. Change at 7th Street Metro Station to Blue Line towards Long Beach
  3. Exit Pico Station
  4. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  5. Go North/right on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

OR

  1. Take Purple Line towards Union Station
  2. Exit 7th Street Metro Station
  3. Walk West to Figueroa St.
  4. Go South/left on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 4 blocks on the right

From Norwalk

  1. Take Green Line towards LAX/South Bay
  2. Change at Imperial/Wilmington to Blue Line Northbound
  3. Exit Pico Station
  4. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  5. Go right on Figueroa, L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

From Long Beach

  1. Take Blue Line towards 7th Street Metro Center

  3. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  4. Go right on Figueroa, L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

To connect to Metro Rail lines via MetroLink trains, please check Metrolink train schedules at www.metrolinktrains.com to ensure proper train service is available or call (800) 371-LINK (5465).

METRO BUS
Metro Bus routes services all of Los Angeles and has many lines that stop near L.A. LIVE including lines 441, 442 and 81. To find the route that's best for you, use the Metro Trip Planner or contact Metro at (800) COMMUTE.

DASH
DASH Bus Route F has several stops on Figueroa St. adjacent to L.A. LIVE. For details on DASH service, go to www.ladottransit.com.

AMTRAK
AMTRAK Train service to Union Station gets you into the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, just minutess from L.A. LIVE. Go to www.amtrak.com or call (800) USA-RAIL for train schedules and information.

Once you reach Union Station, either hail a taxi or take Metro Rail as follows:

  1. Take the Red Line towards North Hollywood
  2. Change at 7th Street Metro Station to Blue Line towards Long Beach
  3. Exit Pico Station
  4. Walk West one block on Pico Blvd.
  5. Go North/right on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 2 blocks on the left

OR

  1. Take the Red Line towards North Hollywood
  2. Exit 7th Street Metro Station
  3. Walk West to Figuroa St.
  4. Go South/left on Figueroa St., L.A. LIVE is 4 blocks South on the right

Note: Amtrak passengers must purchase a separate ticket to ride the Metro Rail.
